A valid passport is required to visit Cuba. The passport must be
valid for at least one month beyond the date of your expected departure
from Cuba. Visitors must also carry a tourist card (or visa), or
a business or student visa. Please note that keeping passports overnight
for a check-in purpose is a general procedure in most hotels in
Cuba and it is not a violation of any government law. Clients are
actually advised about this on transfers from airport to hotels.
You will need passports and visas (Tourist Card) for check in at
hotels and some hotels will keep your passports for the first day,
they will be ready to collect the following day.
The Cuban tourist card must be paid by all travelers (infants,
children and adults) traveling to Cuba when leaving Cuba you will
need to hand in to immigration the remaining copy of your entry
visa, so please keep it safe during your holiday. The tourist card
is generally provided by tour operators or airlines, or can be obtained
from a Cuban government office.

Visitors are prohibited from undertaking business activities when
travelling on a tourist visa.
Cuba does not recognize dual citizenship. Cuban-Canadians must
enter Cuba on their Cuban passport. They must also show a valid
Canadian passport in order to return to Canada.
